I am a qualified and accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor (Dip Couns. BCPC & UKCP registered). As well as running a private practice here in Bath, I work with the charity Trauma Foundation South West counselling refugees and asylum seekers. I have additional experience working with young people via the organisation Off the Record.
Thirty years of practice in the fields of complementary therapies and yoga underpins my counselling philosophy. I believe that, with the appropriate support and environment, we can restore a sense of self that feels more true and real and that by deeply exploring issues and events that may have had a negative impact on how we think and feel, we can change our relationship both with others and with ourselves.
Through the provision of support in a safe and confidential environment, we can explore known themes, along with thoughts and feelings which are perhaps more unconscious. I offer both short and long term therapy tailored to suit your needs.
I regularly attend supervision, further training and workshops to update my knowledge to help develop and enrich my work with clients.
